Ways we can work together

Every family is different, and so is every consultation. Whether you want hands-on help in your living room, a virtual session from the comfort of your couch, or a relaxed group workshop with other parents, I'm here to meet you where you are. All sessions are grounded in the TICKS safe babywearing guidelines and built around what you already have.

In-Home Consultation

From $150 · 90 minutes · Melbourne metro

This is the full experience — me, you, your baby, and your carriers, in the space where you actually use them. It's the most practical way to learn, because we can troubleshoot in real time, in real life.

What to expect

Before our session, I'll send you a short questionnaire (brief or detailed — your choice) so I can arrive already knowing your setup, your goals, and any concerns. That means we can skip the long chat and get straight into the good stuff.

Here's roughly how our 90 minutes will flow:

  • A quick hello and intro — five minutes, tops

  • A safety walkthrough using the TICKS guidelines

  • A demo of the carrier you want to learn (yours, or one you're considering)

  • Your turn — you'll practise the carry with a weighted demo doll first, so you can focus on technique without the wriggles

  • Questions, troubleshooting, and anything you want to revisit

  • Finally, the real thing — putting it all together with your baby, and fine-tuning until it feels right

You'll leave the session confident, comfortable, and with a clear understanding of how to check your carry every time.

Good to know

  • Partners, grandparents, and other caregivers are warmly welcome — the more hands that know how, the better

  • No carrier? No problem. Let me know in the questionnaire and I'll bring options to try

  • I don't leave carriers behind (a sling library is in the works — stay tuned)

Virtual Consultation

From $90 · 60 minutes · Available Australia-wide

Live in regional Victoria? Interstate? Just prefer the comfort of your own space without anyone visiting? Virtual consultations are a genuinely effective alternative — I've done plenty of them, and the results speak for themselves.

What to expect

We'll meet over video call, and the session follows the same structure as an in-home: questionnaire first, then safety walkthrough, carrier demo, your turn with a doll, troubleshooting, and then trying with your baby.

Before we meet, I'll send you a short guide on how to set up your space for the best session — things like finding a bright, well-lit spot and positioning your device so I can see you clearly. Nothing fancy required.

Good to know

  • You'll need a device with a camera (phone, tablet, or laptop) and a stable internet connection

  • A weighted doll or a sturdy stuffed toy is helpful for practice, but not essential

  • I can absolutely guide you with the carrier you already own — just let me know what it is ahead of time

Follow up Sessions

In-home from $80 · Virtual from $60

Babies grow, stages change, and what worked beautifully at six weeks might feel different at six months. Follow-up sessions are shorter, more focused check-ins for past clients — perfect for learning a new carry, troubleshooting a new challenge, or adjusting as your baby gets bigger.

Group Workshops

Private group hire from $300 · Up to 10 participants

Group workshops are a lovely, social way to learn the basics — great for mothers' groups, antenatal classes, community groups, or a bunch of friends who want to get into babywearing together. Expect a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of hands-on practice, and all your questions answered.

What's covered

  • The TICKS safe babywearing guidelines

  • An overview of the main carrier types — stretchy wraps, woven wraps, ring slings, meh dais, and soft-structured carriers

  • How to choose a carrier that suits your body, your baby, and your lifestyle

  • A hands-on demo and practice session

  • Time for questions and individual tips

Good to know

  • You bring the venue, I bring the expertise — community halls, living rooms, and mothers' group meet-ups all work beautifully

  • Maximum 10 participants per workshop so everyone gets personal attention

  • Private group hire is a flat fee — ideal if you'd like to organise a session for a group of friends or a community group
